Softball Minors

Little League Age 9 & 10

Minors is the first level of kid-pitch softball offered at University Little League. It is a hybrid of girls pitching with a coach coming in to pitch after four balls have been thrown. There is no change in pitching distance or ball size from Coach Pitch to Minors — the division uses an 11-inch ball and a 35-foot pitching distance.

Once the girls reach Minors, ULL hosts evaluation tryouts and a coaches draft in order to attempt to create evenly-matched teams. This ensures competitive balance and a great experience for all players.
